Membership Benefits

RAiNA is the leading authority on rainscreen design and construction. By joining you become part of a network of experts who play an integral role in growing and evolving the industry. Architects, design professionals, building owners, contractors, and manufacturers work hand in hand to develop key technical and marketing data, promote education and training, and develop standards to guide and govern rainscreens.

 

RAiNA currently offers several different Corporate Memberships to Companies, not individuals. Employees of the Corporate Member are eligible to participate in RAiNA.

Membership Types and Definitions

Component / Material Supplier / Master Distributor
$5,000.00 Annually

 

Major Component / Material Supplier
Companies whose primary business in the rainscreen industry revolves around supplying material that you produce (or produce through contract manufacturing agreements). This includes companies that supply;

  • Raw Cladding Material
  • Finished Cladding Material
  • Substructure component
  • Insulation
  • Membranes (Sheet and Fluid Applied)
  • Wall framing components
  • Sheathing

This category does not include companies whose primary business in the rainscreen is to fabricate or manipulate materials received from a component/material supplier unless such company also fits the master distributor category.

 

Master Distributor
Companies whose primary business revolves around serving as the national supplier of products and components produced by another entity or entities.

Testing Agency / Code Body
$2,000.00 Annually

 Testing Agency
Any organization whose primary business in the rainscreen industry is providing testing and/or certification services for rainscreen products.

 

Code Body
Any organization whose primary business in the rainscreen industry is producing and publishing building codes.

Any organization accredited as a standards development organization.

Associate Member
$1,000.00 Annually

 

Including but not limited to the following: 

Fabricator
Company who converts unfinished materials into a finished product.

 

Contractor
A company who directly or indirectly provides on-site labor services for installation of rainscreen products.

 

Distributor
Company who buys and resells non-exclusive rainscreen products and other construction materials on a local, regional or national level.

 

Minor Component / Material Supplier
Company who supplies minor components that get utilized in rainscreen wall assembly.  This includes companies that supply:

  • Fasteners
  • Flashings
  • Other minor materials and accessories contributing to a rainscreen wall assembly

Companies that also supply materials that fall into the Major Component category will be considered Major Component / Material Supplier.

 

Independent Sales Representative
Company who represents manufacturers and sells materials or products for the manufacturer but is not employed by the manufacturer.

Industry Professionals
$500.00 Annually

 

Trade Associations, Non-profit Trade Bureaus, Industry Groups, Universities, Technology and Trade Schools
Self-explanatory

 

Architectural, Engineering, Consulting (AEC) firms
Firms whose primary role is to provide design and/or consulting services for the construction or renovation of buildings.

 

Specification Writing Firms
Firms who specialize in preparation of specification documents for rainscreen and other construction materials used in the construction or renovation of buildings.

 

Building Inspectors
Individuals who provide local or regional inspection services for rainscreen products and other construction materials and who are employed either privately or by state and local governments.
